It's Congress 32, BJP 31 in Uttarakhand
Congress and BJP both are in the race to stake claim of government formation in Uttrakhand as the verdict came in the form of hung assembly.
With Congress emerging as the single largest party, a party delegation last evening called on Uttarakhand Governor Margaret Alva.
Meanwhile BJP is also seen in the fray to form the government. The party has sought time from the Governor to arrange for required number.
Congress and the BJP both have their elected MLAs meetings scheduled for Wednesday.
Out of all the 70 results in Uttarakhand, Congress has won 32 seats-four short of majority in the 70 majority in the 70-member House, and ruling BJP followed closely with 31 seats.
